Recent calls for a statewide ban on hydraulic fracturing, also known as "fracking," would take away property and mineral rights based on emotion rather than science.
I believe fracking is a safe and scientifically backed way of creating a reliable energy supply. My family happens to have some mineral rights in the Jay oil fields in South Alabama and Northwest Florida...
Many veterans of war, including myself, have concerns with foreign products being purchased from countries at war, namely the Middle East. We have come a long way in recent years to obtain our own oil and natural gas within the U.S. However, we can't lift our feet off the proverbial pedal.
